Happy New Year! I’m honored to
assume the role of president
for 2021 in an organization
I’ve been fortunate to be part of for the
past several years. I look forward to working
with each of you to help shape a strong
future for PDCA and our industry.
First, I want to give warm thanks to our
outgoing and now immediate past president
Jason Moore of Palmetto Pile Driving
for his hard work, leadership and commitment
to the PDCA organization. It was a
pleasure to serve as vice president under
his lead and it will be difficult to fill his
shoes. Jason will now serve as the immediate
past president and I know he will
continue to provide sound advice and new
ideas in this role.
I also have the honor of welcoming our
new 2021 Executive Board members, three
new members to the Board of Directors as
well as the other returning Board members.

Now, I would like to say goodbye to 2020
and hello to 2021! I think it’s safe to say
most of us are glad to see a new year has
arrived. The COVID-19 crisis brought so
many uncertainties and changes in terms of
how we do business that sometimes it left
many of us scratching our heads wondering
what would come next. As contractors
and pile drivers, we’ve always known how to
adapt quickly, but this ingenuity was probably
never tested as much as last year. From
temperature screenings and health questionnaires
for onsite employees, to online
Zoom meetings and logistical considerations,
the changes kept coming and PDCA
members kept adapting to keep our people
safe and productive.
There’s been a lot of adapting at PDCA,
too. For example, the PDCA team has
worked hard to modify our educational
programs to meet changing needs. The
Education Committee and PDCA staff
deserve a big round of applause for making
so many of our webinar programs virtual
in the past several months. These online
webinars are a great way to gain valuable
training and development at little to no cost
or effort. The courses also offer Personal
Development Hours (PDHs), where applicable.
If you have not taken advantage of
these programs, I urge you to check them
out and see for yourself !
I also want to give a big thanks to PDCA’s
executive director, Frank Peters, and the
PDCA team, Matt, Marian and Kathy, for
their incredible work in 2020 to support our
member companies through this crisis.
