“Since that time, the industry has shifted somewhat towards
various drilling methods and techniques, mainly due to perceived
advantages, less vibration, noise, impact to neighboring communities
and structures, to name a few,” said Price. “Presently, our
percentages are approximately 50/50, driving versus drilling, and
we have elected to specialize in both, providing full-service deep
foundation services to our industry.”
Linde-Griffith Construction employs a large contingent of
cranes and equipment that it’s able to move around quickly with
its own fleet of heavy-duty tractor trailers. Included in the fleet are
a number of Junttan self-erecting pile driving rigs, as well as some
Manitowoc fixed-lead cranes that are utilized when there’s a need
to drive longer piles or for applications requiring a longer reach.
Price notes that Linde-Griffith also maintains a full-service construction
yard staffed by fleet mechanics who can ensure everything
is kept operational on online.
Talented workforce
The number of people employed at Linde-Griffith Construction
varies depending on the company workload, but on average it’s
around 100 people. Price maintains his firm’s workforce is a key
contributor to Linde-Griffith’s success.
“While Linde-Griffith is a family owned and operated business,
we consider the core of our business to be the talented workforce
that shapes our field and administrative functions, with numerous
multi-generational and multi-family member representation
within our ranks,” he said.
Price says he and his fellow partners view their employees as
Linde-Griffith’s most valuable asset, and that their safety is something
his company really takes to heart.
“Our team members are known and valued for their contributions
and commitment leading to our continued success,”
said Price. “Ownership has committed the time and resources
necessary to ensure all our employees receive the health and
safety training and management guidance to perform every task
without incident.”
Not surprisingly, Linde-Griffith stepped up its safety precautions
in early 2020 – responding to COVID-19’s many challenges by
keeping its crews updated on the newest pandemic information
and finding solutions to keep workers healthy and safe.
