face a challenge, Bales wants them to think, “I know someone
who can do that,” with Black River Solar firmly in mind.
Joining PDCA to support professional image
“We act like a union shop,” said Bales, even though the company is
small. “We take safety protocols to heart.”
Wanting to be involved with like-minded professionals, Bales
and Goforth joined PDCA a few months ago not only to benefit
from the support its experienced members can provide, but also to
help boost the professionalism of the industry.
“The success of building depends in part on the pile driver’s
work,” said Bales. It’s important work that should be recognized for
the value it provides.”
The access to a wealth of information the association provides,
through networking opportunities and educational events, is a
key reason Black River joined PDCA. The co-owners hope to build
relationships and continue to learn the industry’s best practices for
