Join a PDCA
Committee

Hello, fellow pile drivers! I hope
that the first half of 2021
started the year on the right
track for your prospective companies!
Each PDCA member company should
have received a letter in the mail along
with my president’s message from Issue 2
of PileDriver. Please take the time to read it
if you haven’t already. I hope that my lackluster
willingness to start my participation
in association memberships resonated with
some, if not all, of you. My intent is that my
message has or will light a fire to help keep
our beloved organization moving in the
right direction.
One of my goals for the association was
increased member involvement. This is no
light-hearted task. It will take some of your
time to get involved and once involved
it will take even more of your time. Time
commitment to a role in a trade organization
is an investment into your future,
the industry’s future and this organization’s
future. Again, you will get out what you
put in.
PDCA committees
I am happy to report that, based on my
experience attending as many committee
meetings as I can via PDCA’s Zoom platform,
participation in these committees
has been very active. However, we can still
use more help. Again, please consider your
active involvement in our association!
Committees are where the work of the
organization actually takes place. With
that said, I would like to give a shoutout
to PDCA’s committees for their active
role in moving the association in the right
direction.
For example, led by the Education
Committee’s work and help from other
committees, we have seen the continuance
of our educational webinar series. As of
Kevin Gourgues speaks during a panel interview at the IFCEE opening ceremonies along with
leadership from DFI, the Geo-Institute and ADSC
