we have grown ever so slightly in the contractor
member category so far this year
by four members. I can see this number
growing even more as the year goes on.
Although this growth may seem small,
it is a very big victory for our organization.
Coming out of 2020 – taking into
consideration COVID-19 and the political
climate, and the uncertainty these events
caused – I will count any growth as a
success. However, I am still looking and
pushing to improve these numbers before
the end of this year.
All of our committees are meeting routinely
and doing the work for each of us. We
owe them a round of applause – or at the
very least, a heartfelt thank you.
Heading to IFCEE
I hope that the grip of the COVID-19 pandemic
is loosening on your area of the world
and that your work loads are increasing. As
I am writing this article, I am preparing to
attend IFCEE, an in-person event but one
that will feature a virtual option for those
unable to travel. It will be great to get out
and visit with as many of you as possible at
the show. I would like to thank the PDCA
staff for their hard work and efforts in

getting this event ready for all our members
– PDCA will have a full schedule of meetings
at IFCEE, along with the outdoor and
indoor expo and educational seminars. We
will also have a staffed booth at the show, a
meeting for each standing committee and
a general membership meeting planned,
plus the E.A.L. Smith Award lecture. I look
forward to reporting on a successful IFCEE
in the next article of PileDriver.
