▼ KELLER HIRES KIMBERLY MARTIN AS A SENIOR
ENGINEER – INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY
Kimberly Martin, Ph.D., P.E.
Keller, the leading geotechnical specialty contractor, announces
the hire of Kimberly Martin, Ph.D., P.E., as senior engineer – innovation
and sustainability. Martin will focus on Keller’s initiatives
toward environmental and societal sustainability in North
America and provide high-level innovative efforts within our engineering
function.
With over 13 years in the geotechnical industry, Martin previously
worked at ExxonMobil as a lead geotechnical engineer on
development projects across the globe. She is the past chair of
the Arizona Geo-Institute and is the Region 8 representative for
the Geo-Institute's Local Involvement Committee. Martin also
serves on the sustainability committees of the Geo-Institute and
the Deep Foundations Institute. She is a member of the editorial
panel for Engineering Sustainability, a journal published by the
Institute of Civil Engineers. Martin holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering
from the University of Arizona, an M.S. in Geotechnical and
Geoenvironmental Engineering from the University of Texas
at Austin. She recently completed her Ph.D. at Arizona State
University with a focus on bio-inspired geotechnics and lifecycle
sustainability within geotechnical engineering. In addition, Martin
has devoted much of her career to improving diversity and inclusion
within the engineering community.
“The construction industry is well-positioned to benefit from
infrastructure renewal, urbanization and expanding cities. As the
global climate crisis worsens, we face the challenges of cutting
carbon emissions, limiting waste and using more environmentally
friendly materials and processes,” said Martin. “By offering innovative
products and solutions for a sustainable future, Keller is
proactively leading the geotechnical sector. For these reasons, I am
excited and proud to join the Keller team.”
“Kimberly’s talent and enthusiasm towards all aspects of sustainability
bolster our global commitment toward innovation and
the development of sustainable solutions within the geotechnical
engineering and construction industries,” said vice president of
engineering Tanner Blackburn.

GEOENGINEERS USA IN BOSTON
Stan Sadkowski, P.E.
GeoEngineers USA, an affiliate of GeoEngineers, Inc., is pleased
to welcome Stan Sadkowski, P.E., to its national geotechnical
design team as principal geotechnical engineer. Sadkowski is an
accomplished business leader with 17 years of experience in geotechnical
and environmental engineering for urban and suburban
development. Over the past 10 years, he has been the geotechnical
lead for many of the most complex development projects in
Greater Boston.
GeoEngineers USA’s growing Boston team includes the
Framingham-based Construction Design Group, which designs
temporary structures needed during construction, including trestles,
piers, excavation support, ground improvement and earth-
and water-retaining systems. Sadkowski’s addition expands
GeoEngineers USA’s Boston team and gives local and national
clients access to his years of technical and project-management
experience. His geotechnical engineering and hydrogeology experience
is complemented by an understanding of environmental
due diligence and remediation, and his insight into the intricacies
of critical regulations like the Massachusetts Contingency Plan
(MCP) helps his clients maintain regulatory compliance and navigate
the MCP during development.
In addition to the Boston-based team, Sadkowski will be supported
by a deep bench of experts locally and across the country.
GeoEngineers has a reputation for high quality geotechnical and
environmental services for transportation, development, industrial
and natural-resources projects nationwide. Our staff includes
accomplished geotechnical, geo-structural and environmental
engineers; a nationally recognized performance-based engineering
team; permitting and natural resources experts; and a wide
range of related earth-science and engineering staff.
“We couldn’t be happier to add Stan’s technical experience and
knowledge of the Boston market to our team,” said GeoEngineers
