Thirdly, 1810.4.1.5 Defective Timber Piles spoke only about an “increase” in the rate of penetration.
This was altered to “change” in the rate of penetration. This is to be correlated to soil strata
changes so the pile will not automatically be required to be rejected if changes match the strata.
