PDCA is remaining visible for the long term.
Visibility gives PDCA an opportunity to remain active with our
industry partners. It builds important relationships with deep
foundation practitioners in other sectors that will pay dividends
in synergy and reciprocity. We believe that everyone understands
that most companies are involved in multiple process performance
because any one sector of the deep foundation industry
does not provide a complete service. Dare we say that pile driving
cannot be used in every application. But we believe very strongly
that where it can be used, it should be used. By remaining visible
with our industry partners, PDCA has an opportunity to tell its
story. If we are not there in a visible way, someone else will tell our
story for us and they will most likely leave out important details
that we would include. So, we literally have to remain visible to
carry out our Vision and Mission.
There is another reason to remain visible with our industry
partners and that is the fact that the products and services we
produce to help our members are almost literally universal. That
is to say that what affects one company using one process to construct
a deep foundation equally affects another company using a
different process to construct a deep foundation. A good example
is the significant efforts currently being performed by PDCA and
its industry partners to produce a policy for Working Platforms.
The idea is that a stable ground environment affects everyone who
uses heavy equipment on the job site regardless of the process they
are using to construct the deep foundation. This is important work
that will save lives and is only possible because of the relationship
