FOR THE NEXT GENERATION
Larry Woolliams of Airdrie, Alberta, Canada, is a fifth-generation
farmer who relies heavily on technology to run his 9,000-acre
farm. He hopes that someday it will be run by the sixth generation
of his family.
“Ag is not just tractors and plows, it’s technology now – it’s
automation. I’ve really targeted trying to stay on the cutting edge of
technology, and it’s proving to be a major benefit,” Woolliams says.
He uses technology to analyze his data to help him make decisions
and to keep his equipment running, even when he’s not there.
