PDCA YOUNG GUN

industry, Leggio joined ATI in early 2012.
(Company founder Ronnie Wills invented
a machine attachment that cuts concrete,
steel and wood piles. Clients range from the
smallest contractors to the largest engineering,
procurement, construction and general
contractors in the world).
“The patented machine is amazing and
certainly makes my job easy,” said Leggio.
“Once people know about the machine, it’s
just a matter of time before we are cutting
piles for them! The process is by far the safest
method out there and the production is
unbelievable.”
What Leggio does find challenging at
times is setting up meetings with the right
people to talk about ATI and what his company
offers.
“Today most people are so busy they
don’t have much spare time. It was a struggle
at first because no one knew about us,
but after the word got out I was setting
up Lunch and Learns, office visits, happy
hours, etc. The industry has welcomed our
new technology and ATI with open arms.”
So the next step – a no-brainer, he adds
– was to join PDCA.
“I go to the events and meet the people
who need our services. PDCA is an awesome
association; the people are helpful and they
go the extra mile in making sure everyone is
taken care of at their events. We are members
of at least a dozen other associations, but
PDCA puts its members first every time!”
As for his advice to others interested
in the pile driving industry, he said, “Find
something you love to do and you’ll never
work another day in your life. For me, I
found that one thing I’m good at. I enjoy it
and people can tell that I’m passionate about
it so naturally they want to know more. I
would love to have our pile cutting machines
working all over the U.S. as well as Canada.
If the job is right, we’ll go anywhere!” t
